Pure Visibility’s COO Dunrie Greiling to Speak on Panel with MLive and Compuware on Internet Marketing

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – October 3, 2012 – ANN ARBOR, MICH. – The COO of Ann Arbor-based Internet marketing leader Pure Visibility teams up with MLive and Compuware to debate publicly the benefits and pitfalls of Internet marketing outsourcing or doing the work in-house, to the Automation Alley group in metro Detroit.

The topic, “Build or Buy? Best Practices for Staffing or Outsourcing Internet Marketing Teams” compares and contrasts the advantages and disadvantages of both outsourcing Internet marketing services or building a group in-house to handle these needs.

The current COO at Pure Visibility, Dunrie Greiling worked her way up through the consulting ranks into upper management. Greiling’s extensive analytical and project management experience uniquely qualifies her to discuss aspects such as recruiting, managing, and the cost basis for Internet marketing consultants. “Most marketers don’t consider the short-term and lifetime costs involved with recruiting and selecting Internet marketers and maintaining their industry knowledge,” said Dunrie Greiling, Pure Visibility COO. “Technology and techniques are constantly evolving in this industry. You have to keep these folks in top form with the latest tricks to get the best end result.”

Ryan Eisert Sales Director of Digital Solutions at the MLive Media Group has been entrenched in the digital space for 12 years advising multiple industries across Michigan. He has watched the digital landscape fragment and change, quickly. “Keeping up with the constant state of flux in the digital space weighs heavy on an organizations time, making it difficult to know where and when to allocate resources” says Ryan. In many cases turning to an outside team as a guide and trusted advisor makes sense, allowing the company to focus on core business practices.

Joining the debate is Eric Kushner, Director, Digital Marketing Strategy at Compuware. Kushner has both outsourced and built in-house teams during his career in marketing and public relations. “There are pros and cons to every business situation, and for some marketing departments, outsourcing is the right solution. For others, building an in-house team makes the most sense.  For Compuware, a hybrid approach was selected.” Kushner goes on to say, “The nature of your business, the dynamics within your industry and company, as well as the role that the internet plays in the selection process for a consumer of your goods or services are all important considerations. There are many factors that go into these  strategic decisions, ensure that you take them all into account.” Kushner has over a decade of high paced results oriented experience with large brands, startups, turnarounds, and everything in between.

The presentation and public debate is set for October 23rd, in the Atrium conference room at Automation Alley headquarters in Troy, Michigan. Doors open for registration and networking at 9:00 a.m. and the event wraps up at 11:00 a.m. Register in advance at: http://purevisibilityatautomationalley.eventbrite.com.

Pure Visibility Expands Enterprise Web Analytics Capabilities, Hires Bill Smith

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – AUGUST 7, 2012 – ANN ARBOR, MICH. – Ann Arbor-based Internet marketing leader Pure Visibility expands their advanced enterprise-level web analytics capabilities by adding analytics veteran Bill Smith to their search engine optimization team.

Web analytics are behind everything that occurs on the Internet — from the special code that tracks every click on a company’s website and social media channels — to the data behind who is visiting the website using which device or platform.

“Web analytics are the cornerstone of any decent Internet marketing effort today. You simply can’t do business on today’s Internet without knowing what is happening between your online channels and your potential customers,” said Linda Girard, Pure Visibility co-founder and CEO. “There are a variety of enterprise-level tools available, from Google Analytics Premium to Adobe SiteCatalyst.”

Girard goes on to say, “Web analytics can get very complicated, very fast, and large companies are often overwhelmed with possibilities and reporting features. We specifically brought on SiteCatalyst guru Bill Smith both to streamline and expand our capabilities in this area.”

Smith, the newest addition to the search engine optimization (SEO) team at Pure Visibility, brings a wealth of knowledge and Adobe SiteCatalyst and analytics tools experience, having been the lead SiteCatalyst implementer and analyst for two of the big three automotive OEM accounts. A well-rounded SEO and analytics specialist, he also has pay per click and user testing experience for e-commerce in his background.

“I’m thrilled to be part of the growing SEO team here at Pure Visibility. Their international client base tackles global Internet marketing concerns with which I’m familiar. I enjoy helping large companies identify web analytics tracking standards, then streamline analysis and reporting — both of which can be an incredibly time-consuming and messy business for those without an in-depth background,” says Smith.
